eBee collaborates with KCCA for Kampala Cycling Day: Promoting e-mobility and smart transportation

Organized by eBee Uganda, Kampala Cycling Day aims to promote e-mobility as a safer, healthier and more sustainable mode of transportation. With a focus on inspiring a vibrant cycling culture, this initiative brings together cycling enthusiasts to advocate for cyclist safety and the integration of bicycles into urban transportation planning. And one may say what are the benefits of Cycling?

Benefits of Cycling:

Cycling offers a multitude of benefits that align perfectly with eBee’s mission and values.

  • Economically, bicycles are a cost-effective mode of transport, drastically reducing commuting expenses and alleviating the burden of traffic congestion.
  • Environmentally, cycling produces zero gas emissions, making it a climate-friendly alternative to motorized vehicles. Don’t we all want to live in a cleaner, less polluted city?
  • Additionally, cycling promotes physical activity, contributing to improved public health and well-being.

eBee’s efforts are amplified through strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as the Uganda National Roads Authority and the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) who have been instrumental in pushing what we are advocating for, these collaborations facilitate the implementation of cycling-friendly policies and infrastructure, ensuring that cyclists have adequate space and safety on the roads. By aligning with the agenda of achieving a smart city, eBee and its partners are driving positive change towards sustainable urban mobility.
